I started teaching music on the day that I presented my WISE high school 'senior project' in New York. It was a multimedia performance that included a 20 piece band of my fellow students, photo projections, video and a concert. Among other things, I showed photo transparancies of scores that I wrote in a lecture sort of performance art show to teach an audience of students, parents and faculty about music scoring and arrangement. After high school, in Los Angeles; Guitar Center and Yamaha Corporation trained me to become a Certified Yamaha Clinician, specializing Frequency Modulation Synthesis for the Yamaha DX and TX series of music synthesizers. I taught producers and recording artists new technology in special clinics and in their homes. At the University of Utah, I served as teaching assistant in the Electronic Music Laboratory and to the Composer-in-Residence, Dr. Vladimir Ussachevsky. I taught electronic music history, composition, theory, acoustics, electro-acoustics, synthesis and recording technique. More recently, I developed and managed after school rock music programs for the Paul Green School of Rock Music. I developed three operations in Utah, opened one in Colorado and helped supervise another in Texas. Below are some of my favorite videos of some of my favorite musicians: |
